We designed a stylish leash with lots of benefits AND we engineered it to last a long, long time.
We have 3 core principles for DAIKO: safety, practicality and sustainability
Safety First
Safety is No.1 It is so important that we have patented the idea of locking the leash, with a visible connection, while walking near traffic. You only need to look down to see that your SafeT lock is in place. Past worries about lock failure are no longer an issue.
In our DAIKO leash we will have a Titanium Carabiner (Let’s see if doggie can break that!) connecting the short walking strap to the body of the leash. Easy to see; safe and secure.
Practical- The doopod
Just look at the simplicity of the doopod- need we say more? If you are responsible enough to pick up the poop, then we make it easy for you to bring it home. So many bags end up thrown into bushes, yet we believe that the majority want to do the right thing and put the bag in a bin. So now you can.

Sustainable
Millions of retractable leashes are discarded yearly, and many do not even make it to a recycling facility.
Sustainability is such a lazy term; many companies just pay lip service to it. The DAIKO Team decided on a different approach.
Why is DAIKO different?
We designed a leash that will last so long, you might buy a new one in a few years just for the sake of it. If you ever manage to break it, we will supply all replacement parts in our online shop. You will be able to dismantle it yourself (with our helpful video of course) and you will fix it yourself.
Many leashes on the market are factory-sealed, you cannot even replace the rope if you break it. We decided to make a tough leash, a leash with very strong internal parts; the sort of parts you will find hard to break.
The secret? Instead of plastic, we will use stainless steel and sometimes, even TITANIUM, on the parts that normally fail.
